The iF Design Awards 2018 winners were celebrated in Munich
The internationally renowned prize for outstanding design has been awarded for 65 years

The iF design award night has become one of the most significant international design events in recent years. More than 2000 guests from design, business, culture and media coming from 36 different countries came together at BMW Welt in Munich to honour the winners of the iF Design Awards, edition 2018. Each year the iF International Forum Design GmbH (Hannover) awards this internationally renowned label for design. A jury of 63 independent experts from 16 countries selected the winners of the iF Design Awards 2018 in Hamburg last January and rewarded the 75 best entries with iF Gold Award 2018. These were specially recognized by iF CEO Mr. Ralph Wiegmann with the golden iF sculpture. Amongst the Gold Award winners, there are highly innovative product concepts such as the Essence Professional and Sense Guard from German giant Grohe, the latter being a newly developed water safety system. Furthermore, the C1 brassware collection from leading brand Duravit or the ceramic tile series Vitra Stix from Turkish ceramic tile manufacturer Vitra.
All winning entries will be presented in the Design Excellence section of the iF World Design Guide, the world´s largest design portal, forever. Nearly 40.000 products and services that have been distinguished with an iF Award since 1954 are documented here. Moreover, the winning entries will be displayed at the iF design exhibition Hamburg on over 1500 square meters of designer exhibition space.
For 65 years, the iF Design Awards have been recognized as an arbiter of quality for exceptional design. The iF label is renowned worldwide for outstanding design services, and the iF Design Award is one of the most important design prizes in the world. Submissions are awarded in the following disciplines: Product, Packaging, Communication and Service Design/UX, Architecture and Interior Architecture as well as Professional Concept. All awarded entries are featured on the iF World Design Guide, in the iF design app and are displayed at the iF design exhibition in Hamburg.
